In ancient narratives of India and Siam say it was created to heal the body that drinks it. Ever since, chai tea has evolved in many other drinks such as the Iced Chai Latte. You can make it yourself by following these easy steps, enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups of water
  • 8 Chai tea bags
  • ¼ cup of dark brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of finely grated ginger
  • 1 cup of half-and-half milk

Directions:

  1. Add water to a medium pot.
  2. Have the water boil at a high heat.
  3. When the water boils, turn the heat off and add the tea bags in the water.
  4. Let the tea bags sit in the water for 5 minuets.
  5. After the 5 minuets, remove the tea bags then stir the brown sugar and grated ginger in the pot.
  6. Pour the half-and-half in the pot.
  7. Let the Chai Latte to cool to a room temperature
  8. Then serve over ice.

Optional:

If you want, you can add whipped cream, cinnamon, or a drizzle of chocolate syrup on top.

Tip: Keep your Chai Latte cold and drink within two days.

Yields 4 Lattes.
