This is a healthy and dairy-free recipe that tastes great and has a delicious honey flavor! It’s a soft and sweet treat great for any occasion.


Yields: 3-dozen cookies


2/3-cup oil

1-cup sugar

1/4 to 2/3 cup honey (as desired)

1 egg

1-teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups flour

2 teaspoons baking soda

½ teaspoons salt

1-teaspoon cinnamon

Sugar in the Raw, to roll cookies in


  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and start by combining the oil, honey, and sugar.
  2. Add the egg and vanilla, and then mix again.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. Combine the dry ingredients to the wet.
  5. If your dough ended up firm, continue to the next step. If not, place in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes until you can form into cookies.
  6. Roll the dough into balls and dip into a bowl of Sugar In The Raw with a fork.
  7. Place dough balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or oil spray.
  8. Bake honey cookies for 7-9 minutes, depending on your oven, you may have to add more time until they are a light brown color shown in the picture.
