Terrifying Tasty Treats

Trick or treat? No tricks here, just treats! If you are planning on having a Halloween party or a get-together, use these four quick recipes to satisfy all of your guests. All these treats can be made in 20 minutes or less and cost no more than $20 per dish.

Candy Corn Rice Krispy Treats
Ingredients:
o 1 box of Rice Krispies Cereal
o 1 bag of marshmallows
o 1 bag of candy corn
Directions:
1. Gather the materials needed: 1 pan, 1 small bowl, a spoon, 1 butter knife
2. First you melt 2 TB of butter in a big pan.
3. As it melts, add in a bag of marshmallows and start mixing so they start to melt
4. When the marshmallows are all melted, add in the Rice Krispies and quickly mix until it all the marshmallows stick together
5. Spoon out the Rice Krispies onto parchment paper and knead it so it becomes flat
6. Use the butter knife to the Rice Krispies into triangles
7. Put the candy corn in the small bow, minus a handful, and put in the microwave for 30 seconds or until it melts
8. Put the candy corn on the triangles then use the spoon to drizzle the melted candy corn

Halloween Popcorn Mix
Ingredients:
o Popcorn
o 1 bag of Reese Pieces
o 1 bag of Candy Corn
Directions:
1. Gather the materials needed: 1 large bowl, 1 small bowl
2. Pop a bag of popcorn in the microwave
3. Once popped, pour into a bowl and add in the Reese Pieces
4. Put the candy corn in the small bowl and melt it in the microwave
5. Drizzle melted candy corn onto popcorn

Sausage Mummies
Ingredients:
o 1 package of mini sausages
o 1 package of pre-made croissant dough
Directions:
1. Gather the materials needed: 1 baking sheet
2. Pre heat the oven to 375 degrees.
3. Wrap the croissant dough around the mini sausages and place on baking sheet
4. Bake for 10 minutes

Tombstone Sandwiches
Ingredients:
o 1 package of bread
o 1 package of pre-sliced ham
o 1 package of pre-sliced American cheese
o 1 bottle of ketchup
Directions:
1. Gather the materials needed: 1 butter knife or scissors
2. Cut pieces of bread into the shape of a tombstone.
3. Repeat with the ham and cheese and place onto the bread
4. Once the sandwiches are made use ketchup to spell out “RIP” or any Halloween sayings of your choice onto the bread

And there you have it! There are four easy recipes for your Halloween party! Don’t get tricked into eating too many treats!
